Background

My journey into law began with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Amherst College in 1982. I further honed my legal acumen at the University of Texas at Austin Law School, earning my Juris Doctor Degree in 1985. Soon after, I gained admission to the Connecticut State Bar in 1986, followed by the New York State Bar in 1987. My expertise is also recognized in the United States District Court of New York, specifically in both the Eastern and Southern Districts.

In the realm of professional affiliations, I am proudly associated with the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers’ Association, and the Bronx County Bar Association. Throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute knowledge to the legal community. This includes presenting for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York on the nuances of handling automobile accident cases and leading enlightening discussions on fire, burn, and explosion case dynamics at the College of Insurance.

Over the course of my esteemed legal career, I’ve skillfully handled numerous high-stakes cases, each contributing to a legacy of impactful advocacy. I’ve staunchly represented victims of medical malpractice, championed the rights of those facing civil rights violations, and fervently stood beside individuals affected by devastating fire incidents. I possess a specialized expertise in work-related accidents, particularly those transgressing New York State’s Labor Laws, and have ardently defended victims of environmental injuries from perilous exposures. A hallmark of my legal journey has been my unwavering commitment to safeguarding the rights of children harmed in precarious school settings.

At the core of my profession, I do more than just interpret the law. I serve as a guiding light for those who have been wronged, ensuring they find the justice they truly deserve.

History

The cases that I have handled over the course of my career include cases involving catastrophic injuries and death resulting from medical malpractice, fire, burn and explosion cases, civil rights deprivations, police brutality, inadequate security cases including physical assaults and rapes, construction and work-site accidents involving violations of New York State’s Labor Laws, as well as environmental injuries resulting from exposure to toxic substances such as lead paint. In addition, I have handled a multitude of cases involving injuries to children stemming from unsafe and dangerous school environments.
